Dear Dept of Advice,

I need help!  I am a 4th-grader who is about to take a class trip to Disneyland and I hate going on rides!  They scare me!  But I'm embarrassed to say anything because everyone will make fun of me.

What should I do?

dear scared of rollercoasters,
good news.  there are hardly any rollercoasters at disneyland.  you will be able to have a very fun time without ever having to ride one.
having said that, a time will come when you have to face your fear.  the dept. of advice recommends you start small.  ride on the smallest coaster you can find with someone you trust.  if after that you decide you don't want to ride again, at least you can say tried!
