Recently, TDB’s own Duffy Culligan and Aaron Rose were invited to to the White House to participate in a discussion with other artists concerning cultural activism and its role in the Obama Administration. Writer Kim Hastreiter also attended and she summarized the experience in an article for this month's issue of Paper Magazine, featuring an illustration by Duffy.

Aaron Rose's documentary, "Become A Microscope," based on the life of Sister Corita, will screen at the Silent Movie Theater on July 12th.  Sister Corita was a teacher, political activist and possibly one of the most innovative and unusual pop artists of the 1960s.   Aaron will introduce the event which will screen at the Silent Movie Theater at 8pm, followed by two other documentaries about the inspiring artist/nun.  Directions, tickets and other information can be found at the Cinefamily website.
